Hard cover. Condition: Good, lacking the dust jacket. Robinson, W. Heath (illustrator). First Edition Thus. No date; circa 1930. Deep red cloth boards, gilt cover and spine titles, design, some shelf and edge wear, corners are chipped. The cover features gilt impressed titles w/gilt image of children in wonder of a talking snail w/black impressed borders. The spine features titles w/several gilt bands at head and heel, and, gilt emblem "B" for Boots.
The joints are rubbed, a tiny area threadbare near the top of the front joint, covers are faded in places with some marks and scuffs, some wear to the head of the spine. The spine features titles w/several gilt bands at head and heel, and, gilt emblem "B" for Boots.
The pages generally good, tear to bottom margin of the contents page. Minor foxing, occasional spotting and a few marks to mainly outer page edges. Some margin marks, all colour plates present.
Beautifully illustrated by W. Heath Robinson, with sixteen mounted colour plates and glorious full and partial-page imagery and decoration throughout.

Produced for The Book People. Delightful colour illustrations throughout, coloured by Harry Theaker and Diz Wallis. 9.75 x 7.5". Books are fine. Dust wrapper to "Through The Looking-Glass" is creased and on the rear some tea splats. Small tear to top of rear fore edge dust wrapper to "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" Both books inside are bright, clean and in fine condition. The slipcase is bright and undamaged.
