A very RARE and beautiful book..."Constantinople painted by Warwick Goble" published in 1906 by Adam & Charles Black. Part of the Adam and Charles Black 20 shilling series, which used the newly invented three-color printing technique to create their illustrated color plates. Hardcover with highly pictorial gilt-decorated boards in very ggod condition. 276 pages, with Map- a light foxed with wear on margin- and Index. Also includes 63 Illustrations, all retaining their original protective tissues, from original paintings by Warwick Goble. Alexander van Millingen's book provides an historical and cultural overview of Constantinople, now Istanbul. Firm binding; rubbed corners and edges; wear to boards; chipping to spine ends, with top spine covering missing; toning to pages; interior mostly clean-only very light foxing- and free of markings. Last plate with light wear on margin repaired with blank tape.

My feedback is positive also if near the reproductions of the drawing there is the stamp of library and this note didn't appear on sales advice and when a book shows the stamp of library loose value.

Molti problemi causa SDA, un non-corriere che non consegna e mente: ma il venditore è stato molto attivo e disponibile e alla fine il libro mi è arrivato con un diverso corriere. Libro molto bello.
