Kodak No 1. In June 1888 George Eastman introduced an easy to use camera which he called Kodak. It would prove to be the beginning of a revolution in complicated photography. The Kodak was the first camera that was loaded with a roll film, all the amateur photographer had to do was cock the shutter, aim the camera, press the shutter button and turn for the next shot. When the film was full with 100 shots, the camera was sent back to the factory and after payment of $ 25.- it was returned with a new film and 100 prints. The slogan "You press the button, we do the rest" is still considered one of the better advertising slogans. The example offered here is the Kodak 1, with the improved shutter. The camera became so popular that people no longer spoke of taking pictures but but of "Kodaking" and the name Kodak was included in the company name in 1890. The camera offered here has registration number 13808 , they started this model at number 10,000. The camera shows traces of use after 126 years but I prefer to polish it as little as possible, let it tell its story. The sector shutter works well. Included are two original round Kodak pictures and an excemple of the instruction .

Etat moyen et pas bon comme indiqué dans l'annonce. j'ai payé cher pour l'état. Colis peu protecteur et partiellement déchiré.

The books are in "good" condition. Catawiki used 5 grades to describe: New - all most new-very good-good-reasonable. I described as nr 2 out of 5.
