This elegant Japanese tea caddy, or "natsume," is a handcrafted piece titled Ju-rin natsume, made from high-quality zelkova wood (keyaki). The caddy features a sophisticated black exterior adorned with intricate red motifs that form a harmonious design reminiscent of chrysanthemum flowers and seasonal foliage. Its textured surface showcases an expertly applied circular pattern, adding depth and visual interest. The interior is meticulously lined with gold leaf, which creates a striking contrast and adds an element of luxury, emphasizing the craftsmanship involved in tea ceremony utensils.
