Superb and rare CHATEAU DE FARGUES 2010 de Lur Saluces x 2
Grand Cru Classé Sauternes | Barsac en 1855
2 btl 75 cl - 13 ° - note Parker 96/100
Encépagement : Sémillon à 80%, Sauvignon à 20%
label intact, capsule and very good level

"Pale to medium lemon-gold in color, the 2010 de Fargues charges out of the gate with super-intense green mango, lemon Meringue pie and baked pineapple notes with underlying hints of toasted almonds, clover honey, coriander seed and allspice plus a waft of beeswax. Full-bodied and concentrated, with wicked backbone of acid, the densely packed, multi-layered palate delivers layer upon layer of electrically charged citrus and tropical fruit notes, finishing very long with loads of savory nuances."
(RP 96/100 - Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker / Wine Advocate)

Château de Fargues is a prestigious vineyard located in the Sauternes region of France, famous for its sweet wines. The 2010 vintage is particularly remarkable. This wine is made from grape varieties mainly composed of Sémillon, with a small proportion of Sauvignon Blanc.
The climate of Sauternes, marked by humidity and morning mist, favors the development of noble rot, or Botrytis cinerea, which concentrates the sugars and aromas of the grapes. Château de Fargues is owned by the Lurton family, who ensures quality and production tradition.

The 2010 wine is distinguished by its beautiful intense golden color, a sign of its maturity. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet of candied fruits, dried apricots and honey, accompanied by floral and spicy notes. On the palate, it is rich and smooth, with a nice acidity that balances the sweetness.

The 2010 vintage is characterized by a nice length on the finish, and it has benefited from many years of aging, allowing it to evolve and develop even more subtle aromas. This wine is ideal to accompany fruit-based desserts, blue-veined cheeses or simply to enjoy alone, as an aperitif.

Château de Fargues 2010 is an exceptional wine, reflecting the unique terroir of Sauternes and the expertise of its winegrowers. It is considered a treasure for collectors and lovers of fine wines.
