Beautiful samurai sword in koshirae and shirasaya with NBTHK Tokobetsu kicho (especially beautiful sword) from Ujinobu (later known as Iwamaki Ujinobu), was a representative of Mino Iwamaki group. This sword has an elegant sugata, beautiful jihada, and a very active hamon.

The katana retains a good polish and it is easy to appreciate the jihada and hamon. It is also mounted on an elegant and beautiful koshirae with genuine stingray leather saya, the material and workmanship of these sayas makes them truly special and expensive. It also includes an iron tsuba with drawings and precious metal inlays of the middle Edo period, and a black leather tsuka with matching ray skin and fucki and kashira with family clan motifs. The sword is preserved in a great condition despite its age, parts and elements of the koshirae have been replaced or renovated so it is in perfect condition and only needs to be exposed and appreciate it for many more decades.

The blade is in old japanese polish remaining in good condition, the jihada of the steel is detailed and full of details to appreciate. A masterpiece Worthly a museum and a great addition to any private collection.
