Longines 10k gold plated gentleman's watch from 1955. In excellent original, unrestored condition, case and dial sit very well on the wrist and the movement works and keeps time. The watch bears the triple signature on the dial, case and movement. A new strap has been fitted and the crystal has recently been replaced, so this beautiful old watch is ready to wear.
Dial: Original from the original factory, soft and even patina, beautifully softened and darkened the original finish. Gold Arabic numerals and sticks mark the hours. The dial reads "Longines" with the famous Longines winged emblem. The hands are in good condition and the crystal is clean and clear.
Case: 10k gold with magnificent lugs, in very good condition, approximately 44mm from lug to lug and 34mm wide excluding the unsigned crown. The inside of the case is stamped "10K Gold Plated" and signed "Longines". The case shows the inevitable light marks from over 60 years of careful use, but there are absolutely no significant signs of abuse, dents or scratches that I can show you.
Movement: Cal. 23ZS manual movement with 17 jewels set in solid gold cases. It runs and keeps time. The movement number shows the date of the watch as 1955.
Strap: The new quality brown leather strap attached to the watch measures approximately 212mm from the buckle end to the last eyelet
