Authentic manuscript, regarding Archangel Gabriël, in a medieval book of hours - ca. 1450 a.d.
Paris/ Ile-de-France
Recto/verso with thornleaf vines and thornleaf trefoils with a large, gold colored, decorated initial.
Exceptional manuscript written in Latin on parchment in Gothic script from the Ile-de-France region.

Recto text: 2-line-high beautiful gold decorated intital + 14 handwritten lines with a richly decorated, gold-painted filigree decoration on the left border.
Verso text: 14 handwritten lines.

Size of the page: 15.5 × 11.0 cm.

Condition: Somewhat tanned to the edges (see photos), but exceptionally well-preserved after ca. 600 years!
