First presented in 2016 by Marcel Wanders, the magic of the circus with its exciting, somewhat enigmatic characters, the glittering lights and vivid colours: a marvellous world captured by Marcel Wanders in this surprising “Circus” storage jar collection. Stylish objects with evocative shapes and decorations: multicoloured circles, stripes and segments, conjuring up the fabrics of circus costumes, the big top and circus bunting.

Everything can be stored in these “Circus” jars, even food because the jars are equipped with hermetic lid locks that ensure all the freshness, aroma and flavour of the food inside. Marcel Wanders has created a glass jar decoration reminiscent of the merry-go-rounds often set up along with the circus big top. The lid is decorated with the traditional red and white stripes of fairground ride awnings, while the gold coloured knob conjures up the ornamental element that adorns the centre. The result is enchanting: Wanders transforms classic jars into cheerful mini fairground rides.. The glass body leaves the contents clearly visible, making it easy to locate the desired product - colourful and evocative, they bring a joyful touch to every room. Glass jars are dishwasher safe; lids should be washed with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive detergent.

Marcel Wanders:
Marcel Wanders grew up in Boxtel, the Netherlands, and graduated from the School of the Arts Arnhem in 1988. Marcel Wanders’ fame started with his iconic Knotted Chair, which he produced for Droog Design in 1996. He is now designing for the biggest European design manufacturers like Flos, Vitra, Kartell, Droog Design and Moooi of which he is also art director and co-owner. Additionally, he works on architectural and interior design projects. Various designs of Marcel Wanders have been selected for the most important design exhibitions in the world.
