One bronze sculpture by the Simoncini Art Studio of Volterra: "Ombra della sera". On an alabaster base. Volterra, Italy, second half of the 20th century.
The strikingly modern-style figurine, of which the original is 2600 years old, in the Museo etrusco Guarnacci (Volterra), owes its name to the poet Gabrielle d'Annunzio. He saw the elongated shade in the piece representing the sun projected on the road in the late afternoon/early evening.
This specimen is an artistic reproduction in bronze of the original Etruscan sculpture.

"Ombra della sera", height, including the pedestal, is 39,5 cm; only the bronze sculpture is 38 cm.
Very good state of conservation. The base has some flaws.
The figure will be shipped by registered mail.
