These 6 chromolithographic prints are chromolithographic reproduction of the originally hand coloured illustrations featured in John Gould’s Birds of Great Britain (1862-1873). His work and was later used in many publications and of one of these the offered plates originate. It couldn’t be determined which particular publication was the source of these plates. The year 1940 mentioned must be considered an estimate.

The dimensions of the plates are 18x23 cm, they are in excellent condition and stuck in a green cardboard passe-partout.
