Suntory Old is a popular whisky from Japan, which first appeared in the 1940s.
This bottle is from the 1990s.
Nice nose - dark berries, plums, dates and a hint of peat!
The body is good, the whisky on the palate nicely peppered. And a great continuation of the nose with dark fruit and herbs and especially again that delicious trace of smoke that reminds of Hakushu.
The finish is medium-length, sweet and satisfying.
