Fantastic 1996 of Hermitage rouge from Domaine Chave stands out from the other crus of the appellation by its somewhat singular journey: often very closed in its youth, suggesting little evolution, it ends up opening up, sometimes after very many years, thus undergoing a real metamorphosis; patient enthusiasts then discover a fully blossomed nectar, with exceptional aging potential - half a century for a good year. Ample and concentrated, magnificently complex and distinguished, it develops a vast palette of aromas ranging from blackcurrant to smoky, including notes of prune, leather, toast and spices.
This bottle comes from my personal collection and has always been kept in perfect conditions. It will be shipped in a secure polystyrene box. no shipping outside the EU to countries where alcohol is prohibited including UK
