Μεγάλη Βρετανία - SG127 Plate 1 (1867-1882) 5/- Pale Rose (CV £1180 Gibbons 2018 £675+ 75% for center+ light

A smart well centered example of the early SG 127 5/- Pale Rose Plate 1 from 1867 to 1882. These early, uncoloured corner letter high values differ from the later examples of 1883/84 by the lack of the stamp values in the centre margins and carry Plate Numbers in the lower part of the stamp.
This is a good bright colour Pale Rose example, with a light (for the era) cancellation. It is also nicely centered, as many versions from this time are badly printed offset to the edge. Condition is very good with full perforation and a clear Maltese Cross watermark on the reverse. The 2018 Stanley Gibbons Concise Catalogue lists these at £675, and they add on an additional 75% for well centered lightly used examples, equalling a CV of £1180.
