History of the event:
1. Ukrainian postage stamp "Russian warship, go ..." received the highest award of the international philatelic prize "Asiago" in Italy
It is the embodiment of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian military and the entire Ukrainian people during the Russian armed aggression. By buying the set, you express your support for Ukraine in the war.
The stamps are dedicated to the well-known event,
when a Russian military landing ship "Moskva" approached Zmeiny Island (Black Sea, Ukraine)
and offered Ukrainian border guards to surrender.
To this ultimatum, the Ukrainian soldiers
(who were in the minority on the island and did not have the opportunity to escape or hide anywhere)
suggested that the Russian warship goes in a certain direction.
In the future, the phrase became a symbol of the resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian occupation.
On 13 April 2022, Ukrainian presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovych and Odessa governor Maksym Marchenko
said that the warship Moskva had been hit by two Neptune anti-ship missiles and was on fire in rough seas.
A Pentagon source later confirmed that Moskva had been hit by Ukrainian missiles.
Russian state-owned news agencies said the ship was badly damaged and its crew was evacuated due to a "fire" from "detonated ammunition"
and it eventually sank while being towed to a naval base.
2. Back in April 2022, the first postage stamp of the series, "russian warship, go...!", foreshadowed the destruction by the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the enemy cruiser Moskva, which went down to the bottom immediately after the stamp was put into circulation.

During the two years of the large-scale war, the Ukrainian Defense and Security Forces have sunk, damaged and disabled a third of the russian Black Sea fleet. Among the enemy's biggest losses there are: dock landing ships Saratov (24 March 2022), Minsk (13 September 2023), Novocherkassk (26 December 2023), Tsezar Kunikov (14 February 2024); guided missile cruiser Moskva (13 April 2022); salvage tug Spasatel Vasily Bekh (17 June 2022); attack submarine Rostov-na-Donu (13 September 2023); patrol ship Sergey Kotov (05 March 2024).
The battle at sea continues. And the next one that could go "to the bottom" is the frigate Admiral Makarov, because the ultimate goal of Ukrainian defenders is the complete absence of russian warships in the Azov-Black Sea region.
