A superb egyptian painted wooden ( likely cedar) mummy sarcophagus fragment. Brightly painted on a thin layer of gesso with natural pigments: vibrant hues of red, green, blue and facial details in black. The fragment is painted with the standing goddess Isis, looking to her left, with sun disk upon her head, with wings slightly outstretched and holding with her left hand a feather of Maat. Later mounted on a custom-made wood and double glass display frame.

Dimensions: 70,00 x 32,00 cm / 90,00 x 50,00 cm framed

Condition: Surface wear. Slightly professionally restored on the joints between the planks. Excellent overall condition
