Rolex - Oyster Lipton 'Military Dial' - 3136 - Unisex - 1901-1949

-> B. HISTORY of the Model:
Rolex “Lipton” watches were produced for the Canadian market in the 1930s and ’40s. Although not each identical, these watches featured a military-style dial. In this case, the original lume is still visible and covers the numerals, hour markers (with the exception of 12, 3, 6, and 9), with minute track and second sub-register sharp and intact. IT has a striking and desirable original 24-hour "military" dial although time and wear has faded the 24 numerals and they are barely discernible. . Otherwise presents in very good condition, with amazing patina.

Its tough oyster case features a screw-down crown and caseback. This vintage Rolex features beautiful blued steel hands, still reflective in the direct light.
.this watch is a piece of history. Made during WWII, This model was probably sold in Canada and other parts of the Commonwealth , and they were intended for servicemen and airmen heading to Europe and the Pacific.
