Nel 1764, tre membri della Society of Dilettanti partirono dall'Inghilterra verso la Ionia, l'area costiera dell'attuale Turchia e le isole nel Mar Egeo vicine a quella costa. Oltre all'autore Richards Chandler (1738-1810), gli altri due membri della Society of Dilettanti in spedizione erano l'architetto Nicholas Revett (1720-1804) e l'artista William Pars (1742-1782). La spedizione fu la prima missione indipendente della società, con lo scopo di esplorare e descrivere le antichità della Ionia.

shipment became a misdelivery; sellerstatement: it was correctly addressed (but not insured), I waited trying to call ups. Catawiki told me 4 weeks later: sorry, to late for customer protection.

Esteemed customer, you provided me with an address which I printed and applied to the package which was collected with proof and receipt from UPS (which I obviously provided to the Catawiki staff). I advise you to check and make sure of the honesty of the person who signed to collect the package rather than railing against a seller with multiple positive reviews or the Catawiki staff
