This glossy print is of the Beatles, taken during the Sgt Pepper Lonely Hearts album cover photo-shoot.

A moment of ‘60s pop culture (taken on March 30, 1967 by Michael Cooper at Chelsea manor Photo Studios), artist Peter Blake’s Sgt. Pepper cover was unlike anything the world had ever seen. The result was a collage bursting with color, texture, intellectual diversity, comedy, tragedy and time compressed. The iconic design captures the eye and the imagination.

This is a print that was given to my dad (Michael Joseph, London Advertising Photographer) by his agent at the time, who was also Michael Cooper's agent, hence him being in possession of this stamped but un-signed copy.

There are several minor integrated scratches that I believe were on the print negative, shown in photos provided, these are not superficial, hence Michael Cooper has given a 3 out of 25 number for this item, indicating the limited quantity in the series.

There is also a weird bit of glass stuck to the bottom of the paper - I haven't tried to remove this, I don't know why it is there - the border has a few dings and imperfections, but the photo can easily be framed to conceal this. The picture is 49 cm high and wide - the paper is just under 60cm square.

My dad had taken the Beggars Banquet photos of the Rolling Stones for their 1968 album - his agent at the time probably found that funny, hence the gift of this print of the Beatles. The print will be carefully wrapped and dispatched rapidly via Colisimo.
