1/16 AR Shekel from Phoenicia, Sidon, minted during the reign of Ba'alšillem II (401-366 BC). This ancient coin, approximately 2,400 years old, showcases Phoenician artistry in a small but exquisite form.
• Obverse: Phoenician galley with "Beth" above and waves below.
• Reverse: Persian king or hero with dagger, fighting a lion; symbol "O" between them.
Cataloged as HGC 10, 240. 8.8-9.8 mm in diameter; weighs 0.83 grams.

The photos are high enlargements of the coin, so the coin is far nicer in hand than in the images.

Supersnel verzonden! Hele aardige bezorger top! En goed ingepakt. Is een heel klein muntje maar ben er heel erg blij mee. Zo aan het einde van het Romeinse Rijk de laatste stuiptrekkingen…….dank……
