The Sukesada lineage, part of the Bizen Osafune school, is celebrated for its outstanding craftsmanship and longevity, flourishing well into the later periods. Accompanying the Wakizashi is a copy of its Firearms and Swords Registration Certificate, as the original document will be returned to the authorities. The certificate details the following: Nagasaki Prefecture No. 28688, type: wakizashi, length: 44.4 cm, curvature: 1.4 cm, peg hole: 1, signature: (front) Bishu-Osafune Sukesada, (reverse) Tensho 10 Nen 8 Gatsu (10th August 1582), issued on Heisei 18 (2006), June 12. Please note there is a small chip at the tip of the blade, some rust, and a few minor scratches on the blade. Please refer to the photos for the condition.
