Μπρούντζος Κινεζικά αρχαϊκά χάλκινα αγγεία Hu - Δυναστεία Χαν (202 π.Χ. - 220) - 47.4 cm

An attractive pair of exceptionally large archaic bronze ritual storage vessels with covers, hu (壺). Heavy, solid cast with elegant pear-shaped bodies decorated with four broad bands and two very detailed taotie masks with fierce expressions suspending large loop handles on the sides. Each cover with three prongs in the shape of stylized birds. Overall covered with a beautiful brown, red and green patina. Han dynasty (206 BC-220 AD).

Condition:
Very good, large solid cast and heavy, with expected surface wear, some irregularities at the edges, the taotie masks cleaned, a six millimeter hole in the pedestal foot, rich patina with green, red and brown encrustations.
