Tokyo Lovers Chikashi Kasai Genkosha/2017/Japanese/190 × 235 mm A new book by Japanese contemporary photographer Erji Kasai, whose first solo exhibition “Tokyo Dance” (Taka Ishii Gallery) was held in 1996, and who has been working as a photographer for more than 20 years. Tokyo Lovers” is a selection of approximately 380 photographs from his vast collection taken since 2011. Through ordinary women, models, and actresses, the world Kasai depicts is vividly expressed. The vibrant and colorful works also reveal Kasai's unique ability to bring out the natural beauty of her subjects. Photographer Jiji Kasai has been photographing Tokyo and Tokyo women for more than 20 years, from the 1994 exhibition to the present. His photographs are imbued with an eroticism that reveals private sexuality and the raw atmosphere of the moment they were taken. This book contains approximately 380 photographs selected from the vast number of photos he has taken since 2011. About 60 women, including models, actresses, and sexy actresses, as well as ordinary women, appear in the book.
