Rothko was an American abstract painter of Latvian Jewish descent. He is best known for his color field paintings that depicted irregular and painterly rectangular regions of color, which he produced from 1949 to 1970. He believed that art was truly an expression of emotion and social circumstance and he had a deep distrust for money and material wealth.
Although Rothko lived modestly for much of his life, the resale value of his paintings grew tremendously in the decades following his suicide in 1970.

I’m sorry for your disappointment. Don’t worry we’ll find a solution. Of course, you can return it if you’re not happy. It is my policy that if the client is not happy, for whatever reason, can always return the print in the first two weeks. Not all the sellers do that, but I feel that buying online always has some risks so I think it is fair to give the possibility of rectification, despite I do my best submitting good pictures of the product and giving clear and fair explanations. In this case I think the print it is as described. This is a print of a well known lithography and you can see the signature in the bottom right corner. Have a good look, it is small. So, there is no false description from the seller. Of course, it is not hand sign or numbered. “Signed on the plate” means that you can see the signature of the artist printed on the print. There is no need to complain in the Buyer’s Review box. It is normal practice to contact the seller first and explain the situation.
