The Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador Squellette is one of the most talked about flagship models of this Swiss-made brand with Cuban roots.
The Squelette model, with its distinctive curved lugs, was inspired by a sketch found in a derelict workshop in Art Deco-era Havana, its 'double-curved' sapphire crystals reminiscent of those often used in watches from the 1950s. It is with case dimensions of 40 mm. And 11.15mm thick and water resistant to 30 meters, with a screw-down display case back. The skeletonized dial, which displays many unique skills, showcases the Swiss automatic movement, decorated automatic caliber CYS 5084, takes design cues from other models in the Historiador collection and has an applied CYS logo at 12 o'clock, Super-LumiNova coated hour and minute hands and a red central seconds hand. The movement has a blasted base plate and bar, 'Squelette' and 'Cuervo y Sobrions 1882' engravings and a polished finish rotor. The movement itself measures 25.6 mm in diameter and a wafer-thin 4.6 mm thick, with 25 jewels, it stores a power reserve of 38 hours and oscillates at a frequency of 28 800 vph. The Cuervo Y Sobrinos Historiador Squelette is mounted on a black strap with a stainless steel folding buckle that is engraved with the CYS brand emblem. The crown is beautifully ribbed and stamped with the Logo.
