First published 1920. This is fifth edition 1921. An authorized translation by Robert W. Lawson, D.Sc. from the third German edition of 1918. A frontispiece portrait of the Author by German Artist Hermann Struck. With five diagrams, equations within the text, and with the third appendix on "The Experimental Confirmation of the General Theory of Relativity" being written by Einstein especially for this edition.

Published by Methuen And Co. LTD, London (1921). Publishers’ original red cloth with blind-stamped lettering and border to upper cover, Gilt lettering to spine.

Part II, The General Theory of Relativity
Part III, Considerations on the Universe as a Whole
Appendices. With Preface, Biographical Note, Translator’s Note, Bibliography and Index.

Book Dimensions: 19.5 x 12.5 cm and Number of Pages: 138 including index + 8pp publishers’ adverts at back of book.

Condition
A well-preserved copy. Firm and well bound. External covers are slightly marked, with light wear to corners. The book is nice and clean inside. No names or inscriptions. Toning and some foxing to free end papers only, but text is bright and clear throughout (Very Good Copy) (Please see pictures).

Door Brexit trage levering en extra kosten. Papieren omslag zwaar versleten, boek zelf schoon en in prima staat. Ben er blij mee, het boek beschrijft de fysica zoals ik die 50 jaar geleden studeerde.

Book in fine condition, cover rather less: back dirty, spine very pale / discolored and front / pale with water spots. Pics look fotoshopped as they look better than in reality Inside is very good
