William McKenzie was a Scottish publisher and bookseller in the 19th century, renowned for his illustrated editions. He founded the publishing house William McKenzie in Glasgow, which gained popularity for its publications on history, science, and art. One of his most notable projects was a series of encyclopedias and reference books, including "The National Encyclopaedia" and "The Imperial Dictionary." McKenzie also produced luxurious editions of the Bible, featuring engravings and illustrations that were highly sought after.
