These bottles were included in the tasting conducted by Jancis Robinson at Wine Futuyre Hong Kong in 2011. This sparkling wine was a very pleasant surprise for 800 professionals who attended the event due to its quality and complexity.

Altos de Pinto Bandeira is a Brazilian DO (Denominação de Origem) for traditional method sparkling wines, promoted from IP status in late 2022 with the first wines in the classification appearing in 2023. It is the first DO exclusively for sparkling wine in any New World wine producing country.

Mario Geisse was one of the main actors in making Brazilian sparkling so world-renowned and Cave Geisse winery is his homage to making quality champenoise-method bubbles. The small family-run winery is in Pinto Bandeira, the region’s top area for sparkling wine and the very reason they believe their bubbles taste so good.
