TAI-43 - military field telephone.
TAI-43 is a military field telephone set of the MB system with an inductor call, manufactured in the USSR, produced since 1943. It entered service in 1943, replacing the UNA family of telephones - military field unified devices produced at the radiotelephone plant named Lenin since 1928.
Designer - O. I. Repina.
It was created based on the experience of operating captured German field phones FF-33 in combat conditions. Externally, these devices are very similar, but in terms of design and component layout they have little in common. Power was supplied from one element of the “3V” or “3C” type with a voltage of 1.5 V. Increasing the supply voltage to 9 Volts improves the quality of the microphone path. The communication range over the PTF-7X2 field wire is up to 25 km, over a permanent 3 mm overhead line – up to 250 km. The device can be connected to the line using either a two-wire or single-wire circuit.
The condition is good. No battery.
Dimensions – 27×10×20 cm, weight – 4.5 kg.
