Robert Forster is a singer-songwriter, music journalist and author, born in Brisbane, Australia in 1957. He co-founded the acclaimed rock band The Go-Betweens in 1978, and has released six solo albums, the latest being ‘Inferno’ in 2019. His memoir ‘Grant & I’ was published by Penguin/Random House in Australia in 2016, and in German and Italian translations over the following years. Forster was awarded an honorary degree - a Doctor Of Letters from Queensland University in 2015, and he is currently writing his first novel.

Dutch photographer Gijsbert Hanekroot (Brussels, 1945) started his career in 1969 and worked for magazines and newspapers in the 1970s. His career as a photojournalist fits in perfectly with the explosion of the rock scene and he masterfully documented this golden age of music history - and photographed many of the greatest icons of the time. Hanekroot strived to capture images that revealed the man behind the musician. Trying to express a deeper truth about his subjects resulted in portraits that are natural and intimate, relaxed and sincere.
