Technicly there are only 3-3.5 million Samurai swords made in Japan, before showa period, this items are not any more in a same condtion, many has rosted, or damaged during periods. How to keep real antique Samurai sword : I do request all sword Keeper to not put the sword on the sun for long, do not let the blade out of the saya. do not touch the blade if dont need. always use a tishu after using. Cleaning blade are importent part, U can see many video from youtube, but not all details are there. - if U clean the balde make sure U remove all dust or smale wood from the blade, and from the saya!, if U oiling the balde, please remove all extra oil from the balde, becosue it will contact with the wood in the saya, and can happen the wood and other dust from the saya stick to the blade, make extra damage.
