Mercedes Benz W124 500E. The 'wolf in sheep's clothing'. Only about 10,500 were manufactured between the years 1991 and 1995. The 500E offered for sale here was delivered in Austria and has always been driven here (history traceable). Among the car's special features are cruise control, automatic air conditioning, electric seats with memory function on the driver's side, rear roller blind, etc. As such, it's one of the better equipped W124s. The interior is in good condition for its age. The wood is a little worn, and the clear coat is brittle, but the leather is in good condition. Technically, a number of things have been done recently. For example, the rear axle has been removed, sandblasted and painted, and, in the process, all rubber components, bearings and control arms were, of course, replaced. The fuel, hydraulic and brake lines have also been replaced. A major service involving the replacement of automatic gearbox oil, differential oil and engine oil has also been carried out. In 2007, the 500E was unfortunately involved in a crash impacting the front right of the car. The wing, headlight, bonnet and bumper in this area were damaged. The owner at the time decided to remove the rust from the entire bodywork and have it repainted during the repairs. Consequently, the bodywork is almost free of rust to date. Three-piece OZ Futura wheel rims are currently fitted. These had previously been completely dismantled and reconditioned (certificate available). A cat back sports exhaust is also fitted; the original exhaust system is available and included. All five original wheel rims are, of course, included in newly reconditioned condition.
