Mondrian, cofounder of the De Stijl movement in the Netherlands, called for a strict reduction of visual language to orthogonal composition and primary colours, rigorous geometric compositions of verticals and horizontals. These elements had a strong influence in Bauhaus architecture, graphic design and painting.
Condition: Excellent; it has never been framed. Carefully stored over the years to protect it from humidity and light.
