A very important large antique Chinese bronze altar vase with a magnificent deep patina. On the neck two Looped Kylin Hedass holding exceptional big and broad oval rings and a Frieze with Archaic Patterns. On the foot waves with hidden creatures. This vase is executed in a high quality bronze with an excellent patina.
Literature: A similar model is in the collection of the Saint Louis Art Museum, A Gift of Robert E. Kresko OBJECT NUMBER 16:2005
These vases where also executed in Porcelain, See the resemblance with the world famous DAVID VASES in the British Museum PDF,B.614
Height: ca. 50,0 centimeter (!!)
Weight: ca. 6,600 kilogram (KGS)
Condition: The object is in overall good condition, some normal wear and casting imperfections, some old restorations. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
