Rhum JM is an AOC Martinique Agricultural Rum produced since 1845 in Macouba, in the northeast of the island, at the foot of Mount Pelée. The distillery is located in the middle of the 300 hectares of the Fonds-Préville estate which has existed since 1790. The JM rum distillery was founded in 1845 by Jean-Marie Martin, whose initials it takes. In 1914, Gustave Crassous de Médeuil bought the rum distillery from Jean-Marie Martin's family. Since then, the Crassous de Médeuil heirs have overseen the production of Rhum JM.
