‘Luminous Fruit’ is a unique glass blown artwork.

This beautiful object is part of an ongoing interest on surface textures and light refraction. The luminous pieces have a layer of sumptuous glass threads. The core is suspended at the centre, closing the sculpture with a delicate element. Under natural sunligth, the piece comes to life and offers a beautiful glow making it a true showstopper.

Handmade and blown by the Dutch artist Bibi Smit.

Bibi Smit (Netherlands, 1965) is an artist known for creating sculptures that explore the beauty and powerful force of nature. By being able to control all processes in the glassblowing studio, her work shows an acute attention to detail and technique. She lives and works in Loosdrecht.
