Today, you're bidding on one of my most beautiful items, an original sculpture from the Djenné region in Mali.
This statue is a Dogon storage pot wit lid, mystical artefact of the Dogon culture.
It has received particular attention to detail by a Malian craftsman.
I bought it during long stay in Mali. It has always been stored inside a glass showcase.

***MATERIAL: African bronze. Lost-wax casting process, brown patina.
***PROVENANCE: Private collection, originally from the Djenné region, in Mali (collected in situ).
