[Expert's remark: worn bottle of Louis Bouron from the 1970s-80s. The shoulder label with the quality statement is damaged, but it should be the Napoléon quality - ES]

The cuvée
Famous the world over, since 1909 Cognac has benefited from an A.O.C. regulating its production. Cognac may only be called liqueur made from eaux-de-vie produced in the Cognac appellation zone. This liqueur must be distilled and aged on site using authorised techniques: double distillation in a copper Charentais still, ageing in oak barrels and compliance with a minimum ageing period. A good Cognac follows a complex production process. It is never made from the eau-de-vie of a single cru, but is rather the result of a ‘marriage’ of eaux-de-vie of different ages and crus, sometimes as many as a hundred. To establish the age of the Cognac, only the years spent in the wooden casks or barrels count. As soon as it is transferred to a glass container, the eau-de-vie ceases to age. The more it ages, the more the Cognac gains in complexity, fragrance, aroma and taste (spicy scents, pepper and cinnamon). Note that only Cognacs made exclusively from Petite and Grande Champagne (50% minimum) are entitled to the ‘Fine Champagne’ appellation.
For the ultimate connoisseur of fine Cognacs, enjoy this very special gift, created over the last six generations by Maison Bouron.

annonce conforme, vin non goûte, livraison rapide, emballage correct.
