KEIN RESERVEPREIS - Großes geschnitztes Schwertfisch-Rostrum - Japanisches Koi-Motiv - Rostrum - Xiphias Gladius - 12 cm - 75 cm - 5 cm- Nicht-CITES-Arten

Beautifully carved swordfish bill, a very impressive eye-catcher. The base and cracks in the swordfish bill filled with off white epoxy. A master craftsman has intricately carved traditional Japanese Koi fish swimming in a pond with lotus flowers into this large swordfish tusk. As you can see, the carving is of extremely high quality and has an immense amount of detail. It could be seen as a type of scrimshaw; the name given to engravings and carvings done in bone or ivory. Koi fish are a common symbol in both Chinese culture and Feng Shui. Many of the attributes of the Koi symbolize several lessons and even trials individuals often encounter in life. The koi fish has a powerful and energetic life force, demonstrated by its ability to swim against currents and even travel upstream. Some of the characteristics associated with the koi include good fortune, success, prosperity, longevity, courage, ambition, and perseverance. Koi in Feng Shui: Its placement is said to attract auspicious abundance and prosperity into your home and life, and some opt to have multiple representations of this fish.
