Toshiba T4700CT vintage laptop - 486 CPU - in need of some servicing
This laptop is a museum piece, a true collector's item. A trip down memory lane to a time when laptops where a niche product, the first real portable computers as opposed to the 'luggable' computers from the 80s.
The laptop turns on and seems to work, but has 2 issues.
Firstly, the screen is cracked. From what I can see, it's purely the protective top layer that's cracked, I don't see evidence of liquid crystal leaking.
Secondly, when the laptop turns on, it turns off after a few seconds, and gives a P30 error on the status display. This is indicative of a capacitor that needs to be replaced in the power board. A simple and cheap repair if you know what you're doing.
See the images of the status display for more info. It does turn on fine, and you can hear the hard disk spin up before the laptop turns off and gives the P30 message.
The laptop will be shipped without power supply.
The lot will be carefully packed and shipped.
