Beautiful and extremely rare ES105 model lounge chair

produced in 1960 by Herman Miller based on an original design by Charles & Ray Eames

The ES Lobby Series chairs were originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames
to furnish the lobby areas of the Time & Life Building in New York City.

While all three models in this seating group offer maximum comfort with their luxuriously padded leather cushions, the inviting ES 105 visitor chair has an extra wide seat and a low base that makes it extremely comfortable and versatile.

Shown here in its original leather upholstery in a beautiful Avio Blue color chosen specifically for the Time & Life lobby in New York.

This particular example is in more than good condition for its age: there is no noticeable damage to the sky leather upholstery or to the aluminum frame which is shiny and free of scratches. If there are some signs that are not visible in the photographs, they are to be considered a testimony of the 70 years of the armchair and not a defect. The armchair is also equipped with original period self-locking wheels for delicate floors.

The item will be shipped via DHL/DPD/UPS 48H insured for the full amount of the auction, softly packed inside a wooden box to avoid damage during transport.

IMPORTANT: when you bid on my lot, you agree to always ask the courier for the receipt to sign
and sign it legibly by clearly writing "SUBJECT TO INSPECTION"
otherwise, in the event of damage due to transport, it will not be possible to benefit from the insurance that covers the full amount of the item.
In case of failure to sign the delivery document with the warnings above,
You automatically exempt me from the reimbursement of any damage that you may suffer once the box is opened.

For bidders outside the EU, please ask me in detail about the costs and shipping options before bidding, some customs do not accept shipments of this size.

Although Switzerland is part of continental Europe, it is considered as the "rest of the world" for the purpose of calculating shipping costs.

I do not ship to Israel or to companies/individuals that are part of Israeli groups.

Hello, I apologize: there was an error with the lot. For this reason, Catawiki has decided to cancel the sale. This protects both you and me. It would have been polite if you had given me time to respond to your messages instead of rushing here to write this negative feedback. I ask Catawiki to remove it, as you have no right to tarnish my seller's reputation.

Emballage fait avec un soin tout particulier. Objet conforme en tout point au descriptif. Merci.
