To create The Balvenie PortWood 21 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, the rarest of The Balvenie whiskies
are blended and transferred to casks that have previously held the finest Ports.
The whisky is then regularly tasted by the Master Blender to ensure the perfect balance of maturation,
with the unique character of the Port casks enhancing and developing the flavours of the Single Malt
without masking its original characteristics.
This whisky is considered by many to be the most glorious creation and is the pride of our Master Blender, David Stewart.
It has won a myriad of highly coveted awards since its launch in 1996.
