Mammut Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC by Cascina del Colle is produced with Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes from vineyards located in Bucchianico and grown organically. The name Mammut is due to the archaeological discovery of a mammoth tusk in the second half of the 1960s, in the point where the current company "La Cascina del Colle" was built. From here the idea of a representative, powerful and majestic wine was born. All bottles are rigorously numbered by hand to guarantee a limited production still made with artisanal care. The Montepulciano grapes are carefully selected and destemmed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine then ages for at least 24 months in steel tanks before being bottled. Mammut Montepulciano D'Abruzzo DOC by Cascina del Colle has a very intense ruby red color. The nose offers notes of berries, blackberries, blueberries, and aromas of licorice and medicinal herbs. On the palate it is rich, velvety and soft, with a subtle tannicity, decidedly fresh and savory, and with a finish reminiscent of balsamic notes. Serving temperature: 18/20°C
