An antique mahogany writing slope. The slope has an unusual brass escutcheon in floral form as well as brass banded corners, includes a dip pen, nibs and sealing wax and an amount of ephemera. The box is in good condition and original. The box opens to reveal the leather writing slope with the two recesses below, the pen tray holds the dip pen. One of the recesses contains an amount of ephemera, detailed below.

An uncut pack label for 'The Great Percuro'.....'cure for corns'.
A small sheet of advertisement clippings from a 19th century journal.
An announcement to 'The Inhabitants of Leek' dated 1847.
An advertising leaflet for Gross's Pure Baking Powder.
A Physicians receipt dated 1931.
A wedding invitation dated 1948.
A Swedish telegram dated 1946.
