"Izadi is the embryo of the current Artevino group. In 2000, the incorporation of Gonzalo's son, Lalo Antón, into the company promoted the marketing of Izadi wines abroad and the expansion of the company that had become Artevino, a project that is currently also made up of the wineries. Finca Villacreces (D.O. Ribera del Duero), Vetus (D.O. Toro and D.O. Rueda) and Orben (D.O.Ca. Rioja).

The symbol of Bodegas Izadi is a triangle. This figure represents the space that makes up the towns of Villabuena de Álava, Samaniego and Ábalos, in which the 178 hectares (70 of them their own) with which they work are located. In this triangle, Izadi has a hundred old plots facing south that are protected by the microclimate that predominates in the Rioja Alavesa. In all of them, integrated viticulture criteria are followed, maximally respecting the natural conditions of the vineyard and the environment. These vineyards, with an average age of 45 years, are planted on poor soils that provide low yields and small but high quality grapes, which represent the typical nature of the area.

Architecturally, the most interesting thing about this winery is the use it makes of a 50-meter slope to use gravity in the production of its wines, dividing the winery into 5 different heights. Each element is focused on pampering the characteristics of the grape in each phase of the process. Furthermore, and since its birth, Izadi's vocation is closely linked to the world of gastronomy, a facet that can be enjoyed in the same winery, where activities that pair wine and good food are often carried out."
