2022 WongAmat: Spätburgunder Bürgel, Spätburgunder Rosengarten & Cuvée Euphancholie No. 1 - Rheinhessen - 3 Flaschen (0,75 l)

The Dalsheimer Bürgel is a recognized Grand Cru site. Predominantly characterized by limestone and clay. The Dalsheimer Bürgel is facing east and is therefore one of the coolest sites in the Wonnegau region.

The Kriegsheim Rosengarten is a vineyard that has received less attention so far. It is located in the former floodplain of the Pfrimm, a river in the Wonnegau region that originates from the Donnersberg. Due to this fact, the Rosengarten is interspersed with gravel and iron deposits. The Kriegsheim Rosengarten is facing south and heats up faster than other vineyards due to the gravel. Therefore, it belongs to the warmer locations.

Euphancholie is a wine that transcends vintages and grape varieties. The foundation consists of several wines dating back to 2019 from our Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon vines in our garden - which also forms the basis of the WongAmat label - complemented by the remaining treasures of my single-vineyard wines. Euphancholie is blended using the Solera method, and only 30% of this blend is bottled annually.
