Rens Dekker (1977) has been a graphic designer and photographer for over 20 years and has worked for many renowned Dutch and international artists and musicians as Ilse DeLange, Marco Borsato, My Baby, Duncan Laurence (Winner Eurovision Song Contest 2019) , The Common Linnets (Second place Eurovision Song Contest 2014), Jamai and many many others.
Rens Dekker is also known for his non-commissioned photography project about the city of Charleroi, entitled Les Carolos, l'Âme du Pays Noir. This project was finalist in the LensCulture Street Photography Award 2018.
This work was exhibited in Atelier 210 Bruxelles, Musée de la Photographie Charleroi and also printed as a book.
Rens Dekker's work is known throughout the country but has always been more or less anonymous. Currently Rens Dekker is moving more from commissioned to non-commissioned work and moving from 'behind the scenes' to 'in front of the scenes'.
