This is a 1978 Commonwealth of the Bahamas $10 proof coin with a Certificate of Authenticity enclosed in a clear plastic box (never removed) installed in a lined box rarely opened since issue. It commemorates the fifth anniversary of independence 12th July 1973 of the Bahamas. Head side depicts H.R.H Prince Charles (now King Charles 111) and the reverse side is marked with a shield construction, with "Commonwealth of the Bahamas" and the year 1978. Silver in colour, and heavy.
