Biography:
Marta Braz was born in Portugal (1991), at the age of 8 she went to live in sub-Saharan Africa, where she visited Angola, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, countries rich in nature and wildlife. In the African heat, her admiration for nature grew, along with her natural talent for observational drawing.
She graduated with a distinction in Painting (2013) and Drawing (2016) from the University of Fine Arts in Lisbon and a postgraduate degree in Illustration (2017), where one of the professors offered her a job as soon as she finished the course, due to her outstanding work.

Over the following years, Marta worked as a scientific and naturalist illustrator, collaborating with various institutions, and her original works were acquired by private collections all over Europe.
In her recent work, Marta explores color, atmosphere, and different styles of European painting over the centuries.
