The manuscript is further adorned with red ruling, which frames the text and enhances its structure. The Quran is the central religious text of Islam, believed by Muslims to be a revelation from God (Allah) to the Prophet Muhammad over a period of approximately 23 years, beginning in 610 AD. It is composed of 114 chapters, known as surahs, which vary in length and cover a wide range of spiritual, moral, legal, and social guidance. The Quran is written in classical Arabic and is considered by Muslims to be the literal word of God, preserved in its original form. The text was transmitted orally during Muhammad's lifetime and compiled into written form shortly after his death under the caliphate of Uthman ibn Affan.
